The resort itself is one of a number of Polaris World Golf Resorts built in the Murcia area. It is a self-contained 'gated' resort with 24-hour security and controlled access. Built in Mediterranean style with a Moorish influence, its whitewashed buildings flank broad, tree lined avenues, landscaped gardens and magnificent water features.

The resort is based around a challenging 18-hole, par 68 golf course designed by Jack Nicklaus. Guests have access to the golf course and a residents' discount is available.( See the golf page for details ). Visitors staying at the apartment can also play the other Polaris World Golf Courses at preferential rates.

The stunning resort centre is built around a large lake and includes a social centre and clubhouse, a variety of restaurants, cafes and pubs, a luxury 200 room Intercontinental hotel, conference centre, spa and fitness centre. There is also a well stocked supermarket with bakery and deli, a pharmacy, and a school. The shop and some of the restaurants run a home delivery service. All have friendly English-speaking staff.

In total, La Torre has 15 communal swimming pools, plus tennis courts and a number of children’s playgrounds.
